Let Her Ride is about that ride or die chick in your life, who is down for you and supports you. Also about keeping your significant other happy and just keeping the goal of being happy in life.

HERE STUDIO CARRYONHARRY got in touch with Dub T to learn more about him and his music.
Tell us about yourself .What brought you to singing ?
I love the songwriting process, and have. been performing and recording for a long time now. In my family there's a musical history with my grandmother in church, and all of the groups coming out over time inspired me to pursue music, and I realized I had a natural talent for it.
How do you go about music production aspect of song . Tell about team that works with you ?
I usually get beat packs sent to me by my producers, or browse online for producers that pop up on my radar from songs that I hear that fit my style. My team consists of KD of The NOC records for recording, production, and vocal arrangement on tracks. Macmonee is a producer from Canada that I frequently collaborate with who has produced for Floyd Mayweather's Artist and many others. Jaywan is a longtime go to when I need the industry sound with quality beats and melodies, I have several tracks with him out on digital platforms. My mixing and mastering usually happens at Shockboy Studios, with head engineer Jim Bob, he and award winning Paul Lapinsky mixed and mastered the track 'Let Her Ride.'
What inspires you (or your music)?
The creation process is the most important part for me, hearing the beat, feeling the rhythm. Then matching the right words it's all about the vibes.
What do you think sets you apart from other bands in your genre ?
I like doing records that will be long lasting, that have meaning behind them and always accompany a catchy hook that people can sing along to.
Tell us about your new release ?
'Let Her Ride' is a song about you and your boo, the ride or die who is going to be by your side no matter what. It also features popular Atlanta Artist TK Kravitz, who has a large female fanbase and a few hit records such as 'Ocean' feat. Jacquees.
What Emotion and Message Does Your Song Touches ?
Let Her Ride is about that ride or die chick in your life, who is down for you and supports you. Also about keeping your significant other happy and just keeping the goal of being happy in life in general. The song began as 'just be happy just to be alive' instead of 'she be happy if I let her ride' when one of my employees years back passed unexpectedly.
Your musical influences and what in particular makes you to learn from them ?
Jay-Z for his story telling and lyricism, Outkast for the beats and Southern influence, Lil Wayne for the pure Artistry and freestyle abilities, Michael Jackson for all of the contributions to the game that everyone took.
What are your rehearsals generally like? Do you have a set time each week in which you practice or are rehearsals more spontaneous?
Due to Covid-19 shows have slowed up, but you can basically practice anywhere. A room at the gym, the studio space, or even renting a spot to get the acoustics right.
How do you get people to take you seriously as a musician ?
Have your social media lined up correctly, be registered with a performing rights organization, mix and master your music properly, and perform over high quality productions.
Can you describe your typical workflow when you’re working on your art?
Put on the headphones get out the pad or write the lyrics in my I-Phone notes, or in the studio put on the beat and just freestyle on the record until it turns out good to go. Take home from studio listen and see if there needs to be revisions or anything to make the record better, then go back in and catch a vibe.
